Bluetooth 4.0の省電力仕様。

iPhone 4Sからスマホに搭載され始めている。BLE機器はBluetooth 3.0との互換性はない場合が殆ど。携帯端末でBLEとBluetooth 3.0接続双方をサポートしている場合が多い。
